| Fran Morales, Turner Hahn working a case |
There is a new book out, my fellow travelers of detective fiction, featuring homicide detectives Turner Hahn and Frank Morales. Two characters I dreamed up almost twenty years ago in a desire to write a different kind of police-procedural novel/series.
To the right, and at the top of the book column of my books, is the newest edition. The book is called A Murder Grimly. It basically is a complex web of extremely wealthy high rollers in the real estate empire who want to latch onto the biggest deal of the century. And an act or murder or two, or five in a row, does not register on their ethics-meter at all. So there are, for Turner and Frank, a snake pit filled with vipers to wade through in order to find the brains behind all the killings.
Eck. No big deal. For Turner and Frank, it's just another murder case to solve.
If you like a murder mystery that draws you in and keeps you glued to the book, this is the book you've been waiting for. If you're looking for unique, fully developed characters who you will instantly identify with and either enjoy being in their company, or emotionally veer off in the opposite direction, this is the book you have to have.
In fact, all five books in the series will keep you reading until the midnight oil fades out from the dawn's early light.
